I have worked in IT for most my professional live. First as a PC Maintenance City and Guilds teacher, followed by desktop support and network support engineer positions and, since 2009, as a web designer and developer.

I build websites in the core web languages (HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript) as well as using WordPress and, in the occasional project, Ruby on Rails.

I love the continuous learning that comes with any job in tech. You’ll often find me with my hands on all sorts: from playing with animation and CSS Grids to improving my PHP skills, digging deeper into the AWS cloud or doing a course on Node.js, WooCommerce or the REST API.

Outside the digital world, I am also passionate about learning “human” languages. I’m fluent in Catalan, Spanish, English and French as well as currently learning Italian and starting to dip into Japanese.

If, by any luck, I get some spare time, the computer gets switched off and I go outside, meet people, spend quality time with family and friends.

I am currently also co-organiser of the WordPress Glasgow meetup.
